Gardening Again and a Lizard

Interim stage in veggie-garden:

After being away for couple of weeks, everything had (gardening-term:) gone to seed. Am lead to believe this means it has become useless, and you are better off digging it out and starting again. Again. Starting again, again.

Thinking perhaps growing your own veggies is over-rated activity, and there is a reason we created shops.

Herbs however, are going quite well.

If you are considering veggie patch, and would like my opinion, here it it:

Yes-List:
Mint
Basil, all kinds
Rosemary
Thyme
Celery
Lettuce (unless planning to be away, might go to seed)
Chilli
Parsley
Lemongrass
Japanese Greens
Native Plants
Marigolds

No-List:
Tomatoes
Cherry Tomatoes
Coriander
Leek
Eggplant
Spinach
Lavender
Chamomile
Most things that flower

Criteria used: is it easy to grow, and requires NO maintenance or nutrition? Yes-List.
Is it difficult to keep alive and requires any attention at all post planting? No-List.
